Our product release event on 27 March unveiled a suite of powerful new tools and tech for rental agents.
Hundreds of property professionals got a preview of the platform’s upcoming owner portal, which will help them give their landlords unparalleled insights into their rental property portfolios while significantly reducing agent workload and guarding against phishing attacks.
New tenant payment options were also revealed thanks to PayProp’s ongoing integration with Pay@. As well as retail payments, agents will soon be able to offer scan-to-pay options through the likes of Absa, Scan to Pay and the Shoprite App, while online payment options via Visa were also announced.
André van Rooyen, PayProp SA's Head of Sales, highlighted the power of innovations like PayProp's upcoming owner portal to relieve property practitioners’ administrative burdens:
"The future of managed rentals should have transparent reporting at its core. The functionality we are building will give landlords access to their entire portfolio managed by PayProp-powered agencies, no matter where the properties are located in South Africa. This level of innovation demonstrates PayProp’s commitment to empowering property practitioners. Landlords will seek out agents who offer this level of visibility and control."
The event also featured PayProp’s powerful management reports, which provide property practitioners with business and competitive insights and let them share them with stakeholders outside the platform.
Finally, PayProp’s Head of Client Services Sarah Fourie took attendees through the powerful risk reduction tools PayProp has in place to protect agency trust money. This tech stack, built on decades of payment processing experience, provides property practitioners with world-class protection, aiding compliance, reducing fraud risk, and offering real-time monitoring for complete rental payment peace of mind.
